Stephen Lane was born on November 1, 1990 in Nashville, Tenn.
Lane has lived in Nashville all his life. Throughout school he was usually
found practicing his saxophone, which he received at the age of 10. Since then
he has maintained his practice and even migrated over to Piano and more
recently Guitar. His love for music spurred him on until high school when he
was accepted into Nashville School of the Arts with a focus in Music and Mass
Communication. It was during high school that he created his own rendition of
Beowulf entitled “Beowulf: A Hunter’s Tale.” This short film would win Lane an
award in Cinema. His film became a cult hit among his peers, but eventually
disappeared from existence.
After Graduating in 2008, Lane went to work at the
Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, were he was employed for three years. During this
time he attended Tennessee Technological University for a degree in Web Design,
but decided against it after being introduced to the wonders of English
Literature. He was a primary contributor to a blog focusing on Video Games and
the entertainment industry from 2008 – 2010. More recently, Lane has helped
establish the group AMV Tributes. Currently a small group of 15 or so people,
the group is dedicated to releasing feature length parody films based off of
specific studios in the media. Their first film, “Gainaxxx,” is set to be
debuted April 6, 2012 at MTAC OMEGA. Lane is one of the main editors of the film along with
PR duties. When not working on films, he admits to browsing the internet
randomly for articles focused on the video game industry. He is currently a
Junior at Middle Tennessee State University majoring in English and Writing.
His hobbies include playing guitar and piano, video games, writing and making
videos. He hopes to one day found a major website dedicated to bringing
the latest news in Video Games and Anime.
